Can you powder coat spoke wheels

Powdercoating spoked wheels Hey, I was wondering if anyone has ever run into any problems powdercoating a complete spoke wheel, spokes attached and all.

I have brand new wheels that are supposed to be set up and balanced and trued and all that. I realize that the spokes would be fused to the wheel and hub at that point, so Im wondering if anyone here has done it and had problems afterwards. Any advice here would be much appreciated, thanks.

Attached Thumbnails. They need to be trued and balanced with the tire on the rim, but I'm sure you know that. You would screw up the powdercoat if they needed to be trued again, and they'll look like you rattle canned em if you do it that way. Its more of a pain in the ass to take em apart and relace em , but thats what makes em cool If you powdercoat an assembled spoke wheel, you will fuck up a good wheel.

You know what,,,, screw powdercoat,,,try Gun Kote. It is a super thin layer that is stronger than powdercoat. Ive done it on some old beat up rims. They came out great, I wouldn't recommend doing to a nice new wheel.
