What is the difference between a k cup and a pod

In goes a coffee pod out comes hot caffeinated beverage. The Keurig is designed to brew a single cup beverages. Quite similarly, the Nespresso machine also takes part in pressurized hot water shooting through coffee grounds — for that reason alone we love it too. However, the original Nespresso was strictly a purveyor of 1. Connoisseurs of coffee know that espresso derives from more finely-ground coffee beans than traditional coffee, resulting in a stronger flavor.

The Keurig K-cup consists of a plastic cup and an aluminum lid and every cup is nitrogen sealed to ensure optimum freshness. The Keurig pierces the top aluminum lid with its patented spray nozzle and a discharge nozzle penetrates the plastic base. A filter inside the pod contains the coffee grounds as water is pumped through. Each Nespresso pod is made with a flat top and through a series of multiple and strategic perforations in the capsule hot water is pumped through.

Each cup of Nespresso coffee features the signature crema top layer that often characterizes a true cup of espresso coffee — Um? K-Cups can be found in all different types and sizes. There are so many different K-Cups you can use, and they ensure a high-quality brew every time. You are buying this product with the knowledge it is the best in the market. Everyone has used this product once, and it has a reputation for being the best.

Now we have the new rival to the K-Cup, the Keurig Vue. The Keurig Vue has just not been able to create the reputation the K-Cup has, and this may because of the lackluster design or bad marketing, but the K-Cup stands on top.

Yes, Keurig has decided they will be discounting the Vue cups. The Vue cups were discontinued and to be replaced by the Keurig 2. But there is a way you can actually do it by using the K2V adapted coffee pod inside the Keurig Vue. It is an adapter that allows certain coffee pods to brew inside certain machines.

It is a reusable pod that allows you to brew your own fresh coffee, unlike the K-cup. It allows you to choose the perfect coffee for you and brew it into your Keurig Vue machine. So, there you have it, our guide on the Keurig Vue vs K Cup. We hope this article was able to clear up any confusion between the two, and we hope we were able to provide you with the best choice.

K-cups Is Huge! Submit Comment for The difference in pods vs. K-cups is HUGE! The difference in pods vs. Mar 28, Love my Frothy Coffee by: Anonymous I'm sorry, but you can not beat a nice frothy cup from the Senseo single serve coffee maker. I have never seen a K-cup make a frothy cup of coffee. So that being said there must be different size pods. My Keurig machine says compact I have owned Keurig for years and have given them as gifts to family members.

Unknown to me the model I purchased requires pods. I didnt read that anywhere in the copy. So it came and I didnt have any pods on hand and I had an order for Kcups active. So I tried u ing kcup and it worked perfectly.

I did put in an order for the pods but I think I can use the kcups equally. Aug 30, How about with the same coffee? Will the K-Cup taste better, coffee choice notwithstanding? Can use kcups, pods or ground coffee. A fantastic machine with a two year warranty and fantastic customer service. Jan 29, Like K-kups more by: Anonymous I have been a k-kup user at work for several years and like the coffees available.

We moved to a new office and were "upgraded" to a Bunn pod machine. They left us with about a dozen coffees to try, so far they all taste like brown dishwater.

I find the quality of the coffee in the K-kups to be much better. I may have to bring my own K-kup machine or a french press and brew in my office.

From the smallest and cheapest to the larger and more expensive machines.
